Amisk Hughenden Historical Society

The Amisk Hughenden Historical Society was formed for the express purpose of compiling and publishing a history book of the Amisk, Hughenden and Rosyth areas of East Central Alberta.

Since the book launch in 2006 our focus has widened somewhat as we have supported the following: Hughenden Lakeview Cemetery, Amisk Park Lutheran Cemetery and Amisk Bethany Lutheran Cemetery. When 100 years was celebrated for Hughenden Public School in 2011, keepsake medallions were donated to the school. The Holy Trinity Anglican Church of Hughenden Preservation Committee was formed to prevent deterioration of the beautiful historic old church building which celebrated one hundred years in 2014.
