The Wave
You don't spend very long in a rural area like Amisk until you're introduced to, "the wave." It takes the form of various styles of finger wiggles you'll see as you pass people on the road. Some lift almost a whole palm off the steering wheel, while others just tip their index finger at the first knuckle. It's a small town style of acknowledgment.
